If I am 10, should I get my period soon?

Okay so your first period can totally show up anytime between age 8 and 16, but for most kids it's usually between 10 and 13. So being 10 is right in the middle of when lots of people start getting theirs, but it's not a guarantee that it's coming super soon for you.

Puberty is different for everyone, and your period is like the last step for your body changing. The first signs are usually your breasts starting to grow, and then a little bit later you'll probably get some vaginal discharge. Discharge looks kinda like clear or white stuff on your underwear. That's a sign your period is probably coming in the next 6 months to a year. Also, a growth spurt usually happens right before too, so you might get taller really fast.
