If I am 10, should I get my period soon?

Okay so, a lot of kids start getting their periods when they are between 10 and 13 years old, but some start earlier or later, so 10 is definitely a totally normal age for it to happen, but it's not a guarantee it'll be soon for you personally.

Your body actually gives you some clues a while before your first period shows up. Like, usually, your boobs start to bud a couple of years before your period, and then you might notice some white-ish or yellowish discharge in your undies. That discharge usually starts a few months before your period, so that's a pretty good sign it's getting closer. You also get a growth spurt, so if you're suddenly growing taller faster, that's another hint.

Everyone's body is different, so there's no exact date your period will arrive. But paying attention to those signs can give you a pretty good idea of what's happening. Just keep track of those changes, and you'll be ready when it does happen.
