My mom got her period she was in 8th grade it is the summer right now I’m going into 6th but I have all of the signs and the quiz says in the next few monrhs

Okay, so it sounds like you're probably getting super close to your first period! It's actually really common to get it earlier than your mom did, even if you're feeling all the signs now. Everyone's body is on its own schedule. But things like breast buds, a growth spurt, and that clear or white discharge usually mean it's right around the corner.

Like, a lot of people get their first period around 10-13, but some get it even earlier, and some later. If you've been doing the quiz and it says "next few months," that's a good heads-up. It just means your body is getting ready, and you're getting your official puberty welcome kit soon. It's totally normal for it to feel kind of sudden after all the waiting, and then boom, it happens.

The main thing is to be ready, so you don't get surprised. Make sure you have some pads or period underwear in your backpack, just in case, and maybe a spare pair of undies.
