My discharge is changing and it's become a lot thicker and I feel like I'm getting more of it does that mean my period might be coming soon.

Okay, so like, totally. A lot of the time, discharge changes, and it can totally mean your period is getting closer.

White or clear discharge is super normal and just means your body is doing its thing, getting ready for all those changes. When it starts getting thicker and maybe you have more of it, that's often a sign that your body is getting ready for your first period, or for the next one if you've already started. It doesn't mean your period is coming tomorrow or anything, but it usually means it's in the next few months.

Your body goes through so many changes during puberty, and everything is connected to those hormones that are doing their thing. Discharge is just one of those normal body-happenings, and it's actually really helpful. It cleans and protects your vagina, which is pretty cool when you think about it.
